Added later: got in an argument with my sister who thinks that California is wasting too much money going after Polanski. Needless to say I don’t agree, but then again, I live in the Nutmeg state.
But–Latourneau is a French name! I guess she should have fled to France after her conviction…

I’m a California taxpayer and state employee (and therefore watching every paystub for decreases in my hours), but I’m fine with them finally getting this guy to serve his time. Why? Kate Harding says it all.
