Word to liberal bloggers: You take the high road, not the lowroad

I’m in an internet cafe in Glasgow (where I will be attending the Society for Social History of Medicine conference starting tomorrow).  Since I’m in bonny Scotland, just wanted to post this message to those so-called liberal bloggers who are so gleeful that Sarah Palin’s daughter is pregnant out of wedlock — lay off, will you?  Sexism is not progressive. Take the highroad, don’t lower yourself to the level of Faux-news network.

  1. Right on, x1,000. Have a great conference! Maybe when you return to the U.S., sanity will prevail and we can spent the next 60 days talking about things that actually matter. I’m seriously considering switching my registration to Independent, after seeing and hearing all of the so-called “liberal” and “progressive” and even “feminist” hate and prurience surrounding Sarah and Bristol Palin.

  2. I totally agree — and this is from a not so liberal blogger. Anyone that is gleeful about any tragedy/blessing/crime/wrong doing from either side is just making their cause look bad. Everyone should take the high road and remember in the end, we are all looking for the best for everyone.
