  1. Knitting Clio,

For how long have you been playing the guitar? What is your favorite song to play?

I play the piano. Next semester, I’m going to try to start a department band. One of our current professors plays the trumpet and another the French horn. Our new hire plays the guitar. If I can find a singer, I think we will have a rocking band.

  2. I played a lot when I was in high school and college, gave it up in graduate school, then started up again about four years ago. Right now I’m working on a couple of Oasis songs — “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Wonderwall.” I’ve also done “Save Me” by Aimee Mann, assorted celtic tunes (e.g. “Foggy Dew” by Sinead O’Connor/Chieftains) and some bluegrass tunes from the “oh Brother, Where Art Though” soundtrack.

  3. Hi Heather,

Your range sounds great. Do you play with your friends, or by yourself?

If you were in my department, I would ask you to join the band.
