Much Ado About Nothing: Pro-Life Misconceptions About Contraception | Reproductive Health | RHRealityCheck.org

This article comes courtesy of pro-choice blogger Christina Page.  To put a historical perspective on her excellent commentary — one of the ironies of this whole “misconception” about hormonal contraception is that one of the original pill researchers, John Rock, thought that the pill was the perfect “natural” form of birth control as it mimicked women’s innate hormonal cycles.  Rock was a Catholic and believed the Church would share his view that this natural method was acceptable, whereas “artificial” barrier methods were not.  You can read all about in this new book by Margaret Marsh and Wanda Ronner.  Turns out Rock was wrong about the Church, who continued to support this position:
